Four coins in the fountain!

As an ex hotel manager and seasoned traveller, i understand that people have different expectations of their hotel. all i ask is that the rooms are comfortable, clean and that the service is good. the ludovisi scores top marks on all counts. from the moment we arrived the reception staff were helpful & friendly. the rooms were cleaned every day including changes of towels and sheets. the bar had a happy hour from 6 till 8 providing free appetisers and 2 drinks for the price of 1 - a nice touch in an expensive city like rome. as we were out all day the hotel is not the most important factor in a visit like this but in the case of the ludovisi it was a welcome resting place in the late afternoon before heading out in the evenings. it is conveniently placed within walking distance of the main tourist spots, but i believe if you get a map and just walk around, each visitor finds thier own rome with so many little streets full of shops, restaurants, and points of interest. our group of 4 all threw our coins in the trevi fountain and as the old saying goes that means we will return one day (it's worked the last four times i've done it!) and we will stay at the ludovisi again and thats all the recommendation i can offer.
