Ottimo hotel

Abbiamo soggiornato qui 3 notti in 4, divisi in due camere. struttura sicuramente non delle più moderne, alcune camere avrebbero bisogno di una revisione della mobilia. pulizia buona, per essere a cuba. personale della reception gentilissimo e a disposizione per qualsiasi informazione. grande punto di forza il ristorante: ottimo cibo, grande varietà a partire dal pane fino ai dolci, postazione griglia con più scelte sia di carne sia di pesce, il tutto cotto in maniera impeccabile; in più, molti piatti cucinati all' "italiana", molto apprezzati non solo dai clienti italiani. personale in sala super gentile, disponibile e accorto. spiaggia pulita e curata, mare stupendo. 2 bar aperti 24 ore su 24. per la sera, proprio di fronte all'hotel c'è uno dei locali più conosciuti e frequentati, un bar con una via laterale che viene chiusa per permettere ai clienti di assistere agli spettacoli o ballare all'aria aperta. ottima la posizione anche per raggiungere i vari negozietti di souvenirs locali o i più famosi casa del ron / casa dell'habano.

Less expensive, though still delightful hotel.

We stayed here at the start of our trip around cuba. after a long, difficult flight, it was just a short ride to the hotel. (haggle over the taxi price, we paid 35cuc, down from 50, but i'm sure you could get it cheaper). the hotel is clean, spacious and well kept. the rooms have a/c and fans, with en suite and are comfortable, though not modern/plush. you are not paying big money for this hotel, so that's what you get. also, ask for a room away from the road, there is a bar with loud music, that's open to 0130. we moved, easily on request, after the first night. the pool is great and surrounded by the hotel and the gorgeous beach and sea, into which the sun sets gloriously each night, is right next to the hotel. i think cuatro palmas is only available all inclusive (we booked through hotelsclick) and it is worth it. there is unobtrusive entertainment throughout the day. the food was delicious, copious and varied. cuban and european dishes, some food cooked to order, hot and cold food, attentive waiting staff for drinks orders, fresh fruit, ice cream, desserts. there were 4 bars from which cocktails, soft drinks and cuban beer and spirits were available (included n price) all day. a great hotel for the budget conscious, thoroughly recommend location, facilities and staff. stayed july 2017

Value for money

Nice hotel but be shure that you have a room in the mainbuilding. there are other rooms in small flats (called bungalow) without facilities like swimmingpool, bar or restaurant. this means you need to walk 5 minutes for drinks, buffet, beach and swimmingpool. we asked transfer to room in mainbuilding which was done easily. but be patient at the reception!. they don't work very hard. staff in restaurant is very friendly and quick. as concerned the personnel at the bars, they were less friendly

If you're deaf and chain smoker this is the place!

The lobby overcrowded with smoking people and lots of ashtrays. the bar-area full of noisy and smoking people. the room had a passage (doors) to the next room and the chain smoking couple in the next room could as well have been smoking in our room. the room had a balcony and windows towards the main road and some kind of 24/7-bar with very loud music and a lot of screaming and shouting throughout the night.

Staying last day of the year 2015

We stayed de last day of the year in starfish quattro palmas in varadero. beautiful beach very close to the hotel. the hotel is very old and should be restored . employees told us that the hotel maybe will be closed may 2016. the rooms are poorly equipped and on the street site there was in the evening very much noise. the employees were very friendly except the people who worked at the reception. this hotel is too expensive!

They overbook hotel and then remove you different hotels. never go back varadero again.
