Hotel very good but do not book through hotelsclick.com

I have stayed at the merrion in leeds before, and i would definitely stay again. however, i paid in full through hotelsclick.com, but they had made no booking for me with the hotel. the hotel were very good, they offered us an upgrade at a reduced price, threw in breakfast for free, but i had to pay again as they had no money from hotelsclick.com. i have emailed hotelsclick.com to ask for my money back. the original replied to my emails, but they are now ignoring my emails. their contact number is in rome, and is not open on a sunday - my booking was for a sunday, so i had no where to contact and no room. i would not use hotelsclick.com ever again!

Good value in central leeds

Stayed here for one night. for the price and location bang in the middle of leeds it was good value. don't expect anything fancy. rooms are functional but beds were comfy. could have been a bit cleaner - top of the bathroom pedal bin in serious need of a wipe over. no remote for the tv. breakfast was fine. charming staff.

Merrion leeds

This was a conveneinet location for a visit to leeds university and perfectly satisfactory for a few hours overnight, as somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. the condition of some of the decor is a little tired (worn carpets etc), but the room was acceptable. breakfast was adequate, but the cooked buffet was rather unappealing (solid scrambled eggs, dried up mushrooms). the waiter was also rather rude in the way he insisted on us moving to a different tabel after we had already sat down and begun our breakfast. but for price and location i would stay here again for an overnight stay, but posssibly not for a longer term requirement.
