I really enjoyed my stay at the rodeway inn in carlsbad. ray and anthony at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. there are many good eateries near by, and only an 6-8 minute drive to the beach. 30 minutes to downtown san diego, and 75 minutes to la. my bed was like new and the bathroom was clean and lots of hot water for my showers. there is some freeway noise but it sounds like a pleasant background noise which lulls you to sleep more than a nuisance. was a great location for branching out to explore what southern ca has to offer. would definitely stay here again.
