Booked a partial ocean view room for a business/leisure trip. we love the stylish and clean decoration. the staff was super-friendly. we were particularly impressed by the service of the bell men as we carried a lot of luggage. they were very efficient and always anticipated our needs even before we realized them. couldn't complain about the location as it is next to the waikiki beach. will definitely stay again if we could afford it again.

The modern honolulu was modern indeed. the decor was clean white with touches of wood accent that gave the rooms and common areas a hawaiian feel. the staff was friendly and helpful and the pools were amazing. the only thing close to a negative would be the modern bathrooms provide only a hint of privacy. there are wood vented slat fixtures that serve as a part of the wall dividing the bathroom and the rest of the hotel room. might be uncomfortable for some depending on who you share your room with.
