The room i booked was clean and neat and was well presented. the only problem was that it took about 10 minutes to run the water to get it hot enough to shave or shower. i had to get up early to make sure that i had time to run the water for my shower. other downside was the cost of a glass of wine in the hotel bar was over £10. the second night i bought in a bottle for £6! otherwise the staff were vert curteous and helpful.

A well appointed and recently refurbished reception area. the staff couldn't be more helpful. i rang ahead with specific requirements which were all in place when we arrived. speedy checkin and given delicious choc chip cookies on arrival. room & bathroom lovely & clean and well appointed although compact. breakfast plenty of choice and replenished regularly dining room bright but with a relaxed atmosphere, staff again friendly attentive but not too much -and tables cleared and cleaned quickly. location 5 minute walk to british museum or euston station & 10 -15 minutes further to westend/covent garden. altogether a great allround weekend. the hotel did happily change our room at no extra cost for the second night of our stay as the rooms at the from overlook a busy & very noisy road.

A very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location for shopping/sight seeing. located between russel square and holburn tube stations. within walking distance to covent garden. i requested a quiet room at time of booking and again at check in as the road at the front of the hotel is very busy. this request was granted and my friend and i had a very enjoyable stay. the facilities in the room weren't the four star experience you might expect but this would not stop us from booking this hotel again.

This was my second time at park inn russell square (bonnington hotel), and i returned due to mainly 2 reasons: great location - very easy to get to from heathrow airport (direct service on the piccadilly line), and a very quiet and comfortable hotel to stay at, with a lovely breakfast buffet included in the price. i can highly recommend this hotel to others.

Formerly the bonnington hotel, the park inn russell square is an hitorical hotel and is in a perfect location within london, in the west end. the rroms are nice and comfortable. it is a quiet neighbothood and the tube is near of a walking distance. the hotel lacks authority over employees. the chambermaid's supervisor is lazy and somewhat incompetent. it seems that the hotel's management is very weak. the park inn chain should seriously look into this.

Très bon hôtel, parfaitement situé pour métro, bus, proximité du british museum, le décor est beau, celui des chambres aussi et très soigné, tout est très propre, le petit déjeuner anglais excellent, servi dans une salle à manger confortable et calme nous allons souvent à londres où nous avons de la famille et nous ne manquerons pas de vous contacter la prochaine fois et pour d'autres destinations car nous voyageons souvent, mon mari et moi !

Hotel in posizione centralissima. zona 1, metro holborn a 200 metri, piccadilly line (blu) e central line (rossa). pulito, silenzioso, in zona tranquilla e ben servita anche da bus. nei pressi anche m&s, mcdonald e bars. camere pulite, bagno pulito, sky-tv, cassaforte e letto confortevole. wireless per utenza business. manca il frigobar (se può essere utile) e la presa elettrica europea.

Comfortable hotel in holborn area - easy acess to all that london can offer with underground or bus - we ordered superior room and it was nice with new bathroom of great size. we will defenetly stay there again when visiting this fantastic city!

The hotel would be perfect if it wasn't of the reception people that cannot communicate properly. they don't speak to each other; they have a hard time expressing themselves in english. they need a training in communication.

This is an excellent hotel, conveniently located within walking distance of shops, restaurants and theatres. it has recently been refurbished and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. the staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast is great.

Good location and price. we have been to this hotel a couple of times already and like it because of the underground lines (central and piccadilly). although it's a two block walk to holborn station! good beds and the breakfast is nice too.

We stayed at the hotel in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis when in london for saturday night to see a show. the room was quite small but clean and comfortable and everything that should have been there was. we had dinner at the waterfalls restaurant which was very nice and our waitress was very helpful, ensuring that each course was served promptly so we wouldn't be late for the theatre. the only negative was that we seemed to go for breakfast at the busiest time and had to queue for a table. however the food was good once we got there! the hotel staff were friendly and always willing to help and all in all we enjoyed our short stay. we would stay there again when in the big smoke!

It was my third stay at this hotel -- and definitely the last. in the two previous occasions (in september 2005 and april 2006) it was still called the bonnington, the prices were reasonable (gbp 59 per night for a single room) and the overall value for money was much higher. sadly, this hotel now boasts 4 star quality, a new name and tariffs that are twice as higher than they used to be only two years ago. alas, the 4 star promise is false advertising. it is barely a 3 start hotel. i was given room 642 which can hardly be called a shoebox. i asked the receptionist to change it but he said this could be done only in the morning. i didn't even bother to unpack my stuff. in the morning they changed it to a slightly bigger room in the fifth floor. it was bigger but not worth the price. its old decor, the awful sash windows that you can hardly open to let in some fresh air, the paper-thin walls that enable you to hear every twit from the neighboring rooms (more on this below) and and lack of bottled water which were placed in the room during the bonnington days were noticeably lacking. have no mistake: this is the same old 3 star bonnington, with an amazing tariff of gbp 110 per night for a single standard room and a slightly less courteous service! if i had known all that in advance, i wouldn't have booked this hotel in the first place. my worst experience at this hotel was during the second night. hoping to get a good night sleep after an exhausting day, i went to bed at midnight. an hour later i was waken up by loud noises from the neighboring room: doors banging, loud giggles, screams, and other "sound effects". apparently, one of the guests invited a lady of the night (or perhaps two ladies?) and decided to throw a little party. after an hour of incessant loud noises i called reception and asked them to do something about it. it helped but my night sleep had been ruined already. wasn't this supposed to be a decent hotel? another anecdote: i asked the maid to change the bed sheets every morning. they didn't do that. i noticed that the same stained sheet remained unchanged for three nights! upon checking out, i had another unpleasant and worrisome experience when the porter who stored my luggage started to interrogate me about my destination and opened a long discussion about the conflict in the middle east, his support of the muslim brethren in egypt etc. i was terrified that he might tamper with my suitcase. i decided to take it out from storage immediately and store it a safer nearby hotel. this last scene epitomizes my park inn experience: i should have stayed at a different hotel in the first place. the bedford and the president for example cost gbp 70 per night and offer more or less the same amenities, albeit at a quieter and safer ambiance. lesson learned!

Very impressed with the room upon arrival, refurbished to a lovely modern standard with lots of nice touches e.g. plasma flatscreen t.v., speakers in bathroom. room wasn't the largest we've stayed in but adequate for the two of us although bathroom a bit of a squeeze. had a lovely quiet room at the back of the hotel, right next to the building work but as it was a bank holiday the following day, no work was going on to disturb us. only slight problem was lack of hot water during evening, i ended up having to boil the kettle and empty into sink!

We only stayed one night as we were travelling back through london to catch our plane home, so cannot give a comprehensive review. but, we were pleased overall. our room was located over a quieter street. the room size was adequate and the bathroom was actually spacious and nicely appointed.

Lovely decor - recently refurbished to maintain 4 star status. this is one the nicest 4 star hotel we have stayed in anywhere in europe and the location cannot be beat. i saved about $400 by booking and prepaying through hotelsclick.com (compared to hotels.com and expedia.com). free wireless internet throughout hotel.

The hotel was undergoing refurbishment and we were right next to the building work in a room you literally could not swing a cat in. there was a double bed squeezed in up against a wall and not much room for anything else. the rest of the hotel was lovely but the cooked breakfast food was of poor quality. 15 mins walk from hotel to west end, lots of eateries en route.

Chose this hotel as it was close to the theatre we were visiting and the price was good. unfortunately our bedroom was located at the end of a corridor which joined a section of the hotel undergoing refurb work. it was exremely noisy with drills and banging from 8am to 6pm so no lay in for us! workmen were constantly walking past so felt quite unsecure being in the room and leaving anything in it. also very dusty and smelly from the work being carried out. carpets in hallway covered in brick dust and wires - wasn't very pleasant. we were aware of the refurb work before we stayed but did not expect to be placed right next to it and this did put a bit of a downer on what would i'm sure have been a nice hotel stay.

The hotel was quite easy to find from the tube, once we had got our bearings. it is clean and friendly. the rooms are clean and had a tv, hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. it also advertised a trouser press but this was not in the room. we had the continental breakfast, which was very nice and we had a good choice. the service was good too. overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt we got value for money. the hotel are in the process of refurbishing and when finished should prove to be a good place to stay.

I stayed 5 days 10-15 june 07. excellent hotel - the 1st floor room (double standard) was very comfortable and facing back of hotel so very quiet; efficient air cooling which was very welcome with 2 particularly hot nights; comfortable bed; good bathroom facilities with powerful shower plus bath. staff helpful and friendly, excellent breakfast with plenty choice. i had one evening meal in the restaurant and though the food was very good (if too much), the atmosphere was somewhat lacking - maybe due to it being practically empty.

We stayed 3 times at the bonnington over a one month period while holidaying aroung uk and france. the hotel is located close to holborn station and convenient to covent garden & oxford st. area is a little bland with not many interesting restaurants etc close by but it was ok for a short stay.

We have stayed at the bonnington before but this time was really exceptional. the refurbishment is turning it into a first class establishment. our room was newly refurbished as was the reception and dining area and the hoyel is progressing well withy the rset of the building. breakfast was excellent withy plenty of choice. also the staff were very friendly and helpful.

In the process of being renovated to 4* standard excellent location - either underground at russell square or holborn - or walking distance of kings cross and covent garden/oxford street. we were lucky to get a recently refurbished room - carpets, curtains, fixtures and fittings, tv's etc very high standard. not so sure about the plastic walls! no view from the window but we weren't in the room long enough to look! breakfast excellent - light and airy aitrium with pleasant staff. very good value for money. this was our second visit and won't be our last.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in a double standard room. good hotel for price we got it for through this website but not worth the hotels own standard rate. nice reception and bar area with good choice for breakfasts. all staff polite and corteous. room a little on the small side but apparantly this is the norm for london. good location for convent garden and theatreland. all in all would stay here again.

We were on the 3rd floor and they had ongoing work on that floor refubishing the rooms. we could not use the lift that went to our floor which was near to our room but had to use another one which involved more walking.the room was adequate but was in need of a refurbish. it was small with the bed. a small fitted wardrobe, 2 small bedside tables and a dressing table. the air conditioner did not work so had to open the windows. the food in the restaurant was first class, both dinner and breakfast and the dinner was very reasonably priced, considering the location. the service was excellent

The hotel is in an excellent location and well worth the money paid, however i was dissapointed that the floor we stayed on was under refurbishment, which meant we had to walk through a building site to get to our room! the only apology for this was a small sign on the reception desk. apart from that the rest of the hotel was clean and tidy, the breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
