We arrived after midnight, so it was very useful to have the all-day reception! we were lucky to have a new room, extremely comfortable. the hotel location is also a huge plus, only a few minutes away by foot from the train station. we haven't tried the breakfast.

This is the second time we have stayed here. overall the hotel is looking a little tired and could do with a lick of paint, some of the carpets could be cleaner but we enjoyed our stay. the evening manager (sorry don't know his name) is great, very friendly and helpful. i have recommended this to friends who stayed for 2 nights following our trip.

I was not expecting much for the small price i paid for a single but was astounded at what i got. a large double bedded room with en-suite facilities. the location was very good. the staff were very friendly. the breakfast was supposed to be extra but they threw that in as well and very nice it was too.

Room 204 is a bit small, as i had to climb in either from the bottom of the bed or over my husband. cleanliness was fine and the coffee and tea welcoming. bathroom had cracks in sink and shower tray was marked.
