Booked hotel stay on website and emailed the hotel manager requesting the mary queen of scots room. received confirmation from the manager. this was done over 7 months before stay!!! upon our arrival, the room was occupied and we had to stay in another room. the reason that we booked this hotel was to stay in this particular room. what could have been a nice stay was ruined by the ineptness of the manager and apparent lack of ability to properly schedule confirmed room requests. very disappointed!! hotel itself is very interesting filled with strong historical ties. has a b&b feel and allows for interaction with other guests.
