Would not rate a 4 star at all.

I am not one to complain however.... we stayed in a villa with an outside shower. the drain was blocked in the shower which overflowed each time we used it. we asked the reception 3 times to fix it while we were out of the room for the day however no one ever responded to our request or get back to us for that matter. the room was not cleaned from the previous guests. there was a lynx shower gel still in the room from the previous person, no water in the mini bar or in the bathroom, bed sheets were not changed. we had to complain twice about the bed sheets before they did anything about it so we slept on used bed sheets for 2 nights. the hotel grounds are old and dated for the price you pay. the current owner clearly doesn't care about the hotel and you can tell very much. the pool beds were dirty and stained. they couldnt provide us with pool towels which astounded me! reception can barely speak or understand english. each time we walked past reception there were guests complaining which showed we were not the only people to have a bad experience. the laundry was far too expensive... you have to pay per item. my advice is to drive 2 minutes to the nearest local laundromat and pay 50 baht per kilo which was far cheaper than paying by individual item. the gym was very out dated. our dirty towels were still there the next morning which meant no one cleaned it. equipments was not put back correctly and needed an upgrade. very disappointing. we had to move large equipment around to be able to use it - i.e there was not enough power cables to use the treadmill so we had to move the whole treadmill to plug it in. it only costs a couple of baht to put an extension cord. they charge you 1000 baht for the airport transfer. we decided to take a shuttle bus and paid 150 baht per person which was much cheaper for 2 people. its less than a 5 minute drive! this should be provided free. on the plus, the luggage men were very pleasant and efficient. 2 for one drinks during early afternoon was good. you either need a scooter or a taxi to get into town as its too far to walk but location was okay. there are much better hotels for the price you pay. disappointing experience over all and i would not recommend.
