This hotel is a little expensive, but given the great location and neighborhood it's located in, it's a great value. the staff is very friendly, the rooms are in great shape and the breakfast is a great spread. the affiliated bar has a great selection of new norwegian micro-brews.

Allowing for the off-centre location, and allowing for the fact that we found oslo to be a very expensive city, this hotel was perfect for our purposes. the price was most acceptable, the staff very courteous and friendly, and the breakfast was very very good. my room, a single, was rather small, the bed "tiny", but in very other respect, if was most acceptable. if i'm ever in oslo again, and don't need to be in the city centre, i'll stay at best western west.

This is a nice hotel; it provides exactly 'what it says on the tin' and is good value by oslo standards. while the hotel is slightly out from centre city, it is very walkable and convenient to public transport. rooms are on the small side, but adequate. there are plenty of restaurants in the vacinity. the substantial breakfast options are a valuable extra in a city as expensive as oslo. staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is close to oslo city centre, easily walkable. the street was not noisy but it was busy in the daytime. the building is old in an area of solid quality houses dating from the late 19th century. it has a small lift. two tram routes pass close by and a bus runs along the street. parking on the street is available across the road at no charge but it may take a moment to find a space. the staff were friendly and the breakfast well presented and varied. there is a varity of restaurants within 10 minutes' walking of the hotel, mostly on bygdøy allée.

Doveva succedere prima o poi... infatti è successo. scelgo spesso hotel di questa catena perché il rapporto qualità prezzo è impareggiabile... mi sono sempre trovata benissimo... finora. nulla da eccepire sulla colazione: è abbondante e variegata - disgustosi e ancora surgelati frutti di bosco a parte - ed è il punto di forza di questo albergo. il resto è da dimenticatoio... il servizio è freddo, nordico nel vero senso della parola; la camera angusta e poco luminosa; la doccia risibile per un hotel di questa categoria, sembrava quella di un ostello!; le luci malfunzionanti. e peggio del peggio ti obbligano a versare una caparra all'arrivo per garantirsi da eventuali furti... ma furti di cosa? il minibar ha prezzi assurdi e scelta scarna, gli arredi sono inesistenti (manca addirittura l'armadio, rimpiazzato da penose grucce...), non c'è neppure il set cortesia! posizione accettabile e considerati i prezzi norvegesi tocca accontentarsi... a fatica però.

We had a very nice 5 day stay in oslo.it is very expensive city,but you know that in advance.the quality of the food in the restaurants is of a high standard and it is the wine and beer that make it so very expensive,but having said this you are on vacation and that means to enjoy it and that is just what we did. and by using the oslo-card(72 hours)the visit to various musea is free and in all we visited 9 of them,giving us good value for our money.

Life in oslo is expensive... so finding a deal in this hotel was a very nice surprise. the room was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast exceeded our expectations with a variety of cold and hot foods – croissants, waffles, cereals, bacon, eggs, yogurts and the best walnut bread i have ever had. the hotel is located in a residential area which is compared to kensington and chelsea in london. it is surrounded by period houses and there are many luxurious, trendy and super expensive boutiques... best western west was very easy to find, only a 15-min walk from the metro station – national theatre. also easy to reach by tram no. 19 and bus no.21 which stops just meters away. there are limited budget eateries in the area. there is a convenience store just around the block (7/11) and a medium size supermarket (ica) 5 min. walk.

This hotel in one of oslo's best neighborhoods is a great location, surprising good value, has a very friendly staff and nice breakfast bar. bulletin board and notebook in room provided great local information.

Camera essenziale ma pulita e tranquilla. altrettanto per il bagno. il vero problema e' che si sente il rumore dello sciacquone del wc di tutto l'albergo, ogni volta che un cliente lo tira...problemi di tubature..non so.

El hotel está nuy bien; el desayuno increible y la ubicación perfecta, deberían avisar que te van a hacer un cargo de 300 coronas, pero vaya luego la devuelven a los días, por lo demás muy bien todo.

Albergo in buone condizioni. le camere non sono tutte uguali, ci sono quelle grandi con armadio e divano in camera ma a me e' capitata quella piccola senza armadio e senza divano. la pulizia del bagno e del letto e' molto buona anche se a volte per farti svuotare il cestino lo dovevi mettere davanti alla porta in modo che ci sbattessero le donne delle pulizie. comunque, visti i prezzi di oslo e' un ottimo albergo. alla reception sono quasi tutti molto cordiali e veloci a risolvere i problemi. il tram passa a 1 minuto a piedi dall'albergo e ci mette circa 7 minuti per raggiungere il centro.la zona e' tranquilla.

Hotel in ottima posizione, a due passi dal centro e dal parco di vigeland in una zona molto carina... personale molto disponibile... adatto per giovani.. unica pecca delle nostre camere erano un bel pò vecchie e la pulizia era al limite... però il bar e le altre sale erano molto carine... oslo è bellissima.. ma per noi italiani e veramente cara.....

Its a nice hotel located in a very convenient location. can get to t tramway in a few minutes of walk, have convenient shop just around the corner. though its not super modern in design, it provides a comfortable stay with everything you need. t dining room is marvelous!

Really fab hotel. room over looked the quiet street with a balcony. only 10 min walk to centre and very nice area to stay with good bars and coffee shops. good breakfast and helpful staff. really good for the money. will be staying again soon.
