La habitación me costó 1200 pesos con una cama grande televisión, vista al zócalo y baño espacioso, sin embargo esperaba algo más lujoso por lo que pagué, pero no tengo queja en cuanto al servicio. es muy pintoresco con habitaciones estilo campirano. me hubiera gustado saber que tipo de habitación reservé ya que no sabía si iba a tener una cama o dos camas.

We stayed in the majestic hotel for six days. it is located right in the center of the city (zocalo) which makes it perfect for movement in the historic center of mexico d.f. also, the restaurant in the upper floor has a magnificent view. as far as the cost is concerned, through "hotelsclick.com" we managed to find an excellent offer which definitely contributed to a positive evaluation of our desicion to stay in "majestic". however, there were some complaints. the wifi internet was available only in the lobby and the public areas of the hotel. when i complained about this, the reception promised me "to check it immediately", something that never happened. the tv was temporarily out of service and again i had to wait several hours making repeated calls until it was fixed. i would choose it again but only if i got the same, good price.

The location was superb (but noisy) and the building was beautiful. however the hotel is badly in need of renovation, particularly double glazing and air-conditioning. the noise from the main square made it impossible to sleep but the windows had to be open because of the heat. the beds were very hard and, worst of all, the rooms were dirty. the carpet was torn and dirty, the curtains were dirty. the coffee mug was so dirty that you could feel the encrusted dirt. it was black, so you couldn't see it.. the towels were torn and and the edges frayed. the bath mats disappeared on the second day and never reappeared, despite requests the sink became blocked. we reported this in the morning but by the evening nothing had been done. we had to report it again and wait for it to be repaired. on the second last day water started to come up from the drain hole in the bathroom. the coffee was not replaced on the last 2 days. the enlglish of the reception staff was poor. we had difficulty in explaining that the sink was blocked.
