The location of this hotel is very good, between two metro stops. the hotel is warm and friendly, the room we had was very nice and the bathroom too. bonus was that we could open the windows. all staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast was sumptuous. all in all a wonderful and good experience. highly recommended.

The avenida palace is wonderful hotel in a prime location in lisbon. the hotel is truly luxurious in a traditional old-fashioned style. the breakfast is excellent and the staff are helpful and courteous. the concierge was particularly helpful. the hotel does not have a restaurant but the bar provides high quality snacks and light meals and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby.

In a great location near restaurants, shops, sightseeing spots, tour pick-ups, and train stations. from check-in to check-out the staff are very responsive to any requests. the breakfast provides a nice selection in an elegant surrounding.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights in may. the location is excellent and very near to metro stations restauradores and rossio. in addition rossio train station for going to sintra is next door. the hotel is in an agreeable area and within walking distance of castelo sao jorge and praca do commercio by the river tejo. there are many restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate vicinity. walking in the area was pleasant and seemed safe at all times. hotel staff were polite, friendly, professional and quite helpful. to get to the hotel we boarded aerobus 1 from the airport and got off at restauradores stop which is a minutes walk to the hotel. return fare was euro 5.50 per person. a cheaper way would be to go by metro first on the red line from aeroporto to the end of the line at s. sebastiao and change there for the blue line towards santa apolonia. the stop to get off for the hotel is restauradores. our standard fifth floor twin room was fairly large, very quiet with good decorations, air conditioning, tv, telephone, safe, mini bar, writing desk, bath robes, slippers etc. linen and towels were clean and changed as requested. most days a complimentary bottle of water was put in the room plus two small pieces of chocolates. bathroom was adequately large and clean with good and sufficient amenities. it had a bidet and a hair dryer but no magnifying mirror. it was poorly maintained as water leaked from under the bath tub and made the floor wet and slippery. it could also do with better lighting for make up and shaving. breakfast buffet was quite good with plenty of fresh fruits and was served in a very charming and grand room as are all the common areas of the hotel. free wifi was available in the room and all areas of the hotel and the reception was good. for those without a smart phone or laptop or tablet there is a computer on the first floor. we liked the hotel and would stay there again and recommend it to other travellers.
