We spent two nights at the exedra with friends. fantastic room - had taken the advice of another traveller to book a deluxe room (rather than superior) and we were not disappointed. it was huge and very comfortable. the facilities were super. hot breakfast was included and this was great way to start the day. i again looked for a deal that included deluxe room with hot breakfast as this seemed the best option and value for money. rome was very hot and the rooftop pool was a welcome sight after a busy day sightseeing. it was small but served its purpose. lovely setting to relax and chill out at the end of the day. concierge were very helpful and recommended both restaurants that we ate in & both were excellent. the hi-res restaurant - a modern roof top restaurant that was a short cab ride away and then one in trastevere - traditional italian food. we found all staff at the exedra courteous and friendly. the open bus tour is a must and so easy to use - we used this both days and never had to queue or wait long - brilliant! there is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk from the exedra. we took the opportunity of taking a guided tour when at the coloseum (eur25) but it was well worth it. the queue was huge and we jumped this and the guide was both informative and entertaining. would definiately return to this hotel and fabulous city.
