Arrived on hogmanay 2007, wiith two rooms booked through hotelclick.com, the rooms were booked under one of my friends name and not my name which i put down as the head booking which caused a bit of confusion at the desk. however this was sorted out within 5 minutes, hotel itself is very clean very tidy and perfectly located on market street for the new year street party on union st, a 10 second walk and your in the street party. breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is in a great location; just across from the train/bus station and just off union st. the hotel staff are very friendly. i've seen on some reveiws that people complain about the bar prices; the bar prices are not overpriced for a city at all. the only little down side was the size of our room; it was very small; the furniture just fitted in and no more; other than that the hotel is great.

This is a basic but clean and comfortable hotel in a good central location near to bus/rail stations and aberdeens main shopping area. there is no parking at this hotel but they offer a 25% discount on the nearby ncp at shiprow. breakfast is buffet style and caters for most tastes. there is a nice bar/bistro in the hotel

Very nice hotel, clever and pleasant staff, excellent location. one minus: i got my sleep disturbed early sunday morning by people who tried to sing at a bar (?) or something like that in the vicinity. they were lousy singers, but clever at yelling. hardly the hotel's fault, though

Very average. no attention to detail as required by their 3 star status. had to battle endlessly for the room to be properly serviced- towels, soap erratically supplied. changed rooms 3 times to get one that was acceptable. toilet next door was a foghorn every time it was flushed- complained -nothing done. complained 3 times before tv remote fixed. lot of non english speaking staff who were surly & unobliging. definite no no.breakfast room staff also lacking in service orientation. very grubby.

The hotel was clean and very helpful. my husband arrived early and was offered to put our baggage into the room before the 2pm deadline.

Excellent staff were very helpful and friendly. from the reception staff to the chambermaids. although we found being in the town centre rather noisy, the ease of being right in the town more than compensated we definatly would revisit there on our next trip to aberdeen.

We stayed at the douglas aberdeen for 4 nights, and was not expecting much to be honest as some of the reviews i had read were not very good. however on arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the airy reception and a nice relaxing bar/bistro. all very modern. the rooms were fine, only problem was the old style windows would not close properly. this was a bit of an issue as the road traffic and seagulls, (not kidding) were very loud, so i would suggest a room at the back of the hotel if possible. although i'm sure they would have changed our room if we had suggested it. the staff were extremely friendly and were very helpful. the location was perfect, just off the main street union st and the breakfast was fab, great start to the day. all in all i cannot fault the douglas, it was above average for the very reasonable price we paid and would have no problem recommending it.

Stayed over night in aberdeen just to visit friends. the hotel was friendly, clean and a perfect place to stay for the city centre.

Fantastic location, right in the city centre. rooms are a wee bit small but everything is there. the breakfast was one of the best i have ever had. great selection of fried foods and cereals and fruit and yogurts etc etc etc.
