It is a showcase of some of the best wines produced from what is acclaimed as the oldest Port wine house – Kopke, established in 1638, even before the official demarcation of this region. The various rooms reflect a cheerful and carefree vision, where comfort and timelessness are present, through traditional architecture and the selection of handcraft elements, which tell the story of a Port Wine House almost 400 years old. The Vine House consists of eleven rooms, all with views over the Douro River, which transforms them into true cabins for a setting of unparalleled beauty. Six of these rooms have an exclusive balcony and at their feet the Vinha Rumilã, the oldest vineyard of Quinta de S. Luiz that comes from a small centenary parcel.
