Rio Maior is a town in the Ribatejo region of Portugal.   Located at 3 kms away from the Natural Park of Serras D'Aire and Candeeiros as well as from the salt mines (extraction of salt without sea).   This small city is situated at 30 kms away from SantarÉm (the capital of Ribatejo), 70 kms away from Lisbon and 25 kms away from several beaches, such as NazarÉ, Peniche, Foz do Arelho, S.
