Poggio di Sorano is made up of two traditional farmhouses for a total of 120 sq. m., holding up to 9 people with four double bedrooms, a single bedroom and three bathrooms. The farmhouses have been elegantly restored whilst maintaining the original stone structure and the property includes a private swimming pool and a large garden, making it the ideal place for groups of friends to enjoy a holiday together whilst maintaining their own privacy. External Area and Swimming Pool A large garden, a hectare of woods and fields full of flowers surround the farmhouses and are part of the property. The garden is made of fragrant shrubs and the typical flowers of the area. The covered loggia is ideal for eating outside and relaxing moments, admiring the nature. There is an original, fully functioning wood stove for cooking bread and pizza, right next to the rectangular pool, 5 x 10 metres with a depth of 1.3 m, with sunbeds and a gazebo.Interior The two houses are about 100 m far from each other. The larger of the two is on two floors. The main entrance leads us to a spacious living room with a fireplace, cooking area, and cotto flooring, a bedroom with two single beds with direct access to the garden and a bathroom with shower. The upper floor has a double bedroom with WC and a single bedroom. The other house has a large living room with a wood-beamed ceiling and a fireplace, a small kitchen, a cosy bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower. The upper floor of this house is characterized by a large loft full of artwork of the owner and a relaxing futon and has a double bedroom with mezzane tiles (rectangular tiles typical of Tuscany) with a small bathroom with shower. Location The two farmhouses are on the top of a hill surrounded by countryside and woods and are part of a large property made up of woods and fields, near a small, quiet road. Facilities Poggio di Sorano has central heating, a baby bed, parking within the property. The main bedroom of the smaller house has air conditioning. Services The price includes: bathroom, bedroom and kitchen linen (changed weekly), water, light and gas consumptions and the baby bed. Upon request and to be paid for on the property are: dinners, hired help, wine and food tasting, weddings, excursions, thermal baths and hiking. The nearby villages and towns are full of ancient remains. You can visit: Pitigliano, which is built on a tuff buttress; Sovana, a Unesco heritage; Saturnia with its thermal springs. Lake Bolsena with its limpid water and Orvieto, famous for its cathedral, are both nearby. The Argentario coast is nearby and is well worth the drive to get there, which will take you just over an hour.
