I liked the location very much, next to lime street station, where the train came in from manchester airport. near the city center. the breakfast was poor, stod in the hotelmap that there should be cheese and ham, but i didn,t see any of that. the bread was dry and old.

It is what it is ... you have a bed a shower a nice bar and nice people working there and most important of all its in the city centre .ideal for a lads or girls weekend breaks

This was a return stay to this hotel within 3 months. very handy location for liverpool lime street railway station.

The hotel was situated right in the centre of liverpool and close to all the shops and night life which was great.the rooms are basic enough but exactlyt what you would want for the amount of time you will be spending in them.the staff are very friendly and helpful.i would recommend this hotel to people

I had booked to stay for 5 nights but after booking in for the first night i was appalled by the standard of cleanliness of the room and even when offfered a second found that this was no better. dirty carpets and curtains with lots of air freshener having been used to mask the smell. i left that evening , not bearing to stay overnight and found an adjacent hotel for my stay. i cannot really give this hotel any marks. domini lipman

The rooms that we stayed in was like a small bedsit. very cramped,dirty carpets full of iron marks and god knows what else.a few draws and about some broken hangers for clothes. it was right next to the lift. so you could hear it screeching up and down all day. and my god when the lift stopped it was like a elephant had collapsed outside you door. we got the room for a cheap enough price but if we had of known what we were getting for that price we would have gone elswhere and paid more. this wknd for us was to catch a local football match.so maybe for a group of lads who are not bothered about where they sleep its fine.but for a couple...no!!! maybe it was just our room im not sure. the dugout bar was nice for having a drink and watching the sports and was its only redeeming feature. all in all the lord nelson a major letdown from what the pictures showed. oh my lord i shall never visit the nelson again. kino

Single room. basic,clean and comfortable. staff friendly and helpful. location ideal for my needs. buffet breakfast,continental and adequate. as only one night stay can't really say suitability for other age groups although other guests all appeared to be in the younger age bracket.

Everything excellent.always go with the attitude ."you gets what you pay for" this we were not dissapointed.great staff ,good room,good bar,great location.we will go back to this hotel.liverpool has the friendliest people i have ever met,so welcoming ,i came away without complaint(except central trains and you cant blame liverpool for that!)

An excellent hotel in good location- very clean - liked all facilities in room especially full-length mirror but bathroom lacked hooks to hang towels on! the staff were friendly and helpful at all times of the day or night. buffet breakfast adequate. we were allowed to leave our cases on the day of departure until our train went. would definitely stay here again.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. the room was dirty, the bathroom and toilte more then dirty. no possibility to take a shower. bad beds.
