Inside, our comptemporary front desk is set against original features including panelled wood walls, an elegant marble floor and a majestic ornated glass ceiling. The light filled reception is complete with comfy seatings and the essential vending machines.
Exterior
Clink Backpacker Hostels are centrally located in London Kings Cross. To the North are Camden Markets and Regent's Park Zoo. To the South is the world-famous British Museum, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern. To the East is the trendy nightlife of Angel, Old Street and Farrington. To the West are the shops of Covent Garden and Oxford Street. All are just a few minutes away in the heart of London.
Rooms
Private room basic or en-suite: They are single, twin, double or triple; with or without bathroom. Some of them can sleep up to 3 people in a bunk bed with a single bed on top and a double bed below. They all have a bedside table and lamp. Some rooms also have a sink. They are perfect for those looking for privacy.Dorm room basic or en-suite: For comfort and privacy, each clean and cosy pod bed has a personal light and a locker. Our dorm sizes are as follows, with or without bathroom: 4-6 bed: idal for a family; 8-10 bed: ideal for a group of friends visiting London for fun; 12-16 bed: the cheapest option and ideal for larger groups and friends who want to stay together and party!Prison Cells: Sleep the day off in an authentic prison cell; in solitary confinement or with your partner in crime! This is the place where the condemned used to stay before being brought before the judge. They have been recently refurbished with an injection of colour, wamth and humour! Plus, your very own cell mate to keep you company at night! Our 7 prison cells are English Heritage listed and have kept many original features such as the heavy door; the barred-window, bench and toilet (cannot be used). The room is small but if you want to be able to tell your friends you slept in the Clink some sacrifices have to be made...En-suite bathrooms: Your room has its own bathroom. In most of the rooms they come as pod bathrooms and contain a shower area, a sink and a toilet. En-suite bathrooms in private rooms are ideal for extra privacy. Note that en-suite bathroom in dorms are shared by all the people occupying the room. Shared bathrooms: Our well designed bathrooms, like the entire backpacker hostel, are brand new. They include separate female and male shower rooms and toilets. All have hot water available 24 hours a day. We have 1 shower and 1 toilet for every 7 guests. You should never have to queue! Every toilet has a soap dispenser and most of them are also equipped with hand dryers.
Restaurant
Clashbar: The name comes from co-founders of punk rock, The Clash, whose visit to Clink78 back in the 70's saw them standing in the dock for shooting prize-winning pigeons! And like the band, the bar also likes to make its presence felt... so Clashbar seemed the ideal name! Watch out for our live music nights, themed parties, games, dancing, displays and even burlesque!!! Clashbar provides our over 18 guests with pure fun, frivolity, friendly bar staff. great dancing, good prices, Happy hour and the finest music... eight days a week! Self-Catering Kitchen: Clean, slick and practical - just like Elvis! It's where everyone gathers from morning 'til night to do the most sociable of things, cook! There is no better way to enjoy your food than with old friends and new and with everything you need on hand to conjure up your gastronomic feast you couldn't ask for a more ideal scenario! Our kitchen is open for guest use every day from 12.30pm 'till midnight. The kitchen is used in the morning between 7-10am for breakfast.Dining room: The perfect place to eat but also to play cards, board games, enter the pool competition. re-live the world cup with the footie table tournament or simply be on your laptop...

We offer cheap, chic stylish London accommodation with designer dorms with pod beds, private rooms and even authentic prison cells. Clink backpackers is proud to have amazing settings such as the TV lounge Courtroom (chill out where The Clash were on trial!) and Internet Courtroom (write your own story from the place that inspired Charles Dickens to create Oliver Twist!).As well as having a fantastic building, Clink78 youth hostel London also offers all the facilities you’d expect from a backpackers and more!
