Lobby
The former Palace forms the main lobby and has been completely restored forming the core of the hotel, elegant, luxurious with many antiques and fine furniture with superb architectural detail. The modern towers, served by twelve high speed lifts have stunning views of the Nile.
Exterior
The hotel was originally a Royal Palace built for the opening of the Suez canal in 1869. It is now fully restored with twin towers and connecting garden terrace.
Rooms
The rooms are furnished and equipped in traditional style. Colour schemes are neutral and tasteful. The marble rooms are kept in good condition, as are the bedrooms.

The large restaurant is pleasantly furnished and serves an excellent selection of cuisine from traditional Egyptian dishes to international.
