In spite of a confirmed reservation there was no room available for me when i arrived at 1 am. they sent me to another hilton in gaithersburg, md for the night. i got there around 3 am and had to leave at 6 am to get back to the dc hilton, leave my luggage and then head off to a conference. i did not get any sleep at all. when i was being checked in at the dc hilton the clerk proceeded to break every ada law in the book by advising me all the places i could not take my service dog. i told him that i would take my service dog anyplace and everyplace i chose. he responded by saying, "there's no reason to get angry." well actually i had every reason - he was breaking the law - a felony that comes with a hefty $10,000 fine from the department of justice should i report it.
