Business trip

The hotel was reasonably central, about 15 mins walk from the station.my room could have done with a revamp.tv didn't work properly and it was on the windowsill of a ground floor room a few feet from the noisy main road so impossible to watch it without having the curtains open, thus exposing you to passers-by..not ideal for bedtime viewing. similarly the only mirror in the room was in the same position. breakfast wasn't served until 8.30 which i wasn't told until i turned up at 7.45. as this was business and not a holiday i couldn't wait though the server did rustle up some toast for me.

Its a shame

I stayed in this hotel partly due to price and location but more so because there was no other places available for the weekend we wanted. the rooms are in a bad need of updating as the tiles in the bathroom are all cracked and grouting all stained in the shower. the room was tidy but the plastic under sheet had to be stripped off the bed as it made for a very uncomfortable sleep. this hotel is ideal for the backpacker and is only on a par with some of the backpackers i have stayed in. on the up side the staff where very friendly and helpful its just a shame that in such a prime location the same effort isn't reflected in the state of the rooms.
