Whilst the buildings appearance is heavy with the 70's, a lot has been done to upgrade the rooms as well as the lobby area. still, particularly the second floor with its conference facilities and huge breakfast area has a bit of an unpersonal feel to it. - this being said, the marina palace is ideally and beautifully located on the aurariver (not all rooms with river view, obviously), offers well equipped and modern-feel rooms and good services (such as bicylcles to rent; free for hotel guests). the front desk staff during our stay was outstandingly friendly and helpful. -recommended if you're after solid value for money.
