Great location, great price

This hotel is at a great location within walking distance of many shops, cafes and attractions. the price was quite reasonable and the rooms adequate. don't expect anything too fancy at this price range but would definately recommend for the money wise traveler. street is quiet although walls are quite thin. breakfast was just fine, not sure why people feel the need to complain. juice, coffee, rolls, croissants, yogurt....plenty to begin your day in paris. also, want to mention that the staff here were quite nice and accomodating, don't understand reviews stating otherwise.

July in paris

This is the first time we have booked through hotelsclick.com and i was very impressed with the service. the accommodation, prince albert louvre, was a typically french hotel, very comfortable with exceptionally friendly staff. it was ideally situated near jardin de tuileries and the louvre which meant we could walk to the latin quarter, champs elysees etc. and best of all the price was right!

My first trip to paris

The hotel was in a great position to enable easy access to paris - the staff were friendly and helpful - the room was clean and maintained well - the breakfast was useful to get you going for a day around the city. i would definitely come back - it may not be the ritz, but it did not disappoint, and again - for location, it is perfect.

First anniversary in paris

The hotel prince albert louvre was recommended by a friend who travels to paris frequently. although older, it is very clean, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the location is terrific--just a couple of blocks from the tuileries gardens and the metro stop. the front desk recommended a couple of nearby restaurants, which we enjoyed, and there were shops and sites within walking distance and the rest of paris available via the metro. the room price, including breakfast, was very reasonable by paris standards.

Wonderful paris!

The prince albert louvre is located very close to the louvre and is easily accessible to many tourist spots via the train or bus or walking. our room was very small and we were barely able to fit our suitcases throught the door. the room had an airconditioning unit with the pipe through the window but we found it a very noisy unit but it was necessary to use it because the room became very hot and stuffy otherwise. on the other hand, the bathroom was large and spacious. the reception area was nicely decorated but was very smoky at times. we had continental breakfasts every morning and they were fine, with a variety of foods to choose from. overall our stay was fine but we would have preferred a larger and more spacious room.

Too tiny and no power in bathroom

The room was very tiny and the bathroom was very tiny. there was no power for our curling iron or electric shaver in the bathroom. when we told them the problem they didn't try to give us another room or fix the outlet, they had us use a different outlet in the room where it was very inconvenient. nothing like the photo on the website.

Parisian place personified

Position, position, position - this personifies what prince albert has to offer as it is so close to everything for a visitor - transport, good local eating, major attractions, major shops and opera. and, while there are no steak knives, there is indeed more: great friendly helpful service, regardless of whether or no you can manage some french language. our second stay has confirmed our first impressions and our selection for a repeat visit.

Fab loction - lovely little hotel

I travelled here with my other half and my mum who had stayed at this hotel in 1966 and wanted to come back for a trip down memory lane. the hotel is situated just off from the tuillerie gardens at the louvre end on a really quiet side street. there are 2 "local" bars at the end of the street and as you turn left you can see the tuilleries, turn right and you have a selection of chic bars and bistros that seem to attract a mixed crowd of locals and office workers and were always busy with people queing for tables. the hotel lobby is airconditioned and prettily decorated with a small lounge for relaxing and free internet access. a lift (big enough for one of you and your case) is just behind reception. we had a triple room (of which i don't think the hotel has many) as we had to wait when first booking to have it confirmed. located on the first floor it overlooked an internal courtyard. no aircon although halfway through our stay a portable aircon machine arrived in the room. ok now our room was an experience - not a straight line too be had (not surprising for a building as old as this one), original plaster mouldings and windows - i'd describe it as shabby chic! but it was very clean - fresh towels and beds made and room hoovered daily. we had a bathroom with bath, large shower and loo. the main room had 2 beds in it with the third (fold down from the wall type) situated in a small ante room (and it was small) but again because this hotel is in such a lovely location and because it was so clean (i've stayed in dirtier far higher star hotels) and because it was just somewhere to lay our heads this didn't bother us at all. the room also had a fridge in it (with a few bottles water, coke etc) and space to put your own items in. breakfast was included and is served in a small room downstairs - if there are no tables vacant you can have it in the lounge if you wish or they will quickly clear one for you. typical french breckie, coffee, tea, juice, water, hot milk. rolls, croissants and pain au chocolat, jams and yoghurts. the staff were all really welcoming and couldn't do enough for you, the hotel guest book full of positive reviews. if you want to stay somewhere with character (the hotel was originally a house owned by prince albert himself) where within 5 mins you can walk to the louvre, place de vendome, the seine and within 15 mins to notre dame, arc de triomphe and les halles then you cannot go wrong with the hotel. i wouldn't hesitate to return.
