The location is what swings it for this hotel - on your doorstep are the cafes, wine bars, shops and opposite the lake - one minute from the ferry terminal and the same to the nearest bus stop......of equal standing is the attentiveness of the staff - really friendly and professional.....on the downside is the fact that the hotel is a little dated and not what one would call 4*. the decor is dated and breakfeast limited - even by local standards....that said - with a 20 minute walk to the station - this is a great base from which to spend a garda trip....the cleanliness was excellent and towels freshened daily - opposite the hotel and stretching to the town center is a market every tuesday - so things can get crowded then - but apart from that we found this fine.
