Depending on what room you get, this hotel can be very nice. although some rooms are ordinary and small, some other rooms are a decent size (for paris), well decorate and very comfortable. we've stayed in a small room and found it very average; and we've also stayed in larger rooms and really enjoyed it. the location, near place vendome, is very good. close to the louvre, and also galleries lafayette, and close to 4 metro stations and an rer station. one thing i personally dislike a lot about the rooms is the showers are over bath tubs with no shower curtains and no holder for the shower head (i.e. you need to hold it your hand when showering) - uncomfortable and messy! reception staff were friendly and helpful. breakfast was good (for a continental breakfast).
