Pretty room, sketchy overall

I chose this hotel as an upgrade from a cheaper inn fir my boyfriend who was coming into town, but this was a way lower quality than i expected. the room was very pretty, but i had to hide behind my boyfriend when we has to pick something up from the room, in order to be shielded from the creeps hanging out in the halls. the halls stunk of weed, people kept their doors wide open, and there were multiple fights and arguments over the selling of weed and misunderstandings or the open doors. all of this could be heard through the doors. i did not feel safe nor did i feel he was safe. even the employees were hanging out with the sketchy people! my boyfriend lost his key, walked into the hotel and said i need a new key and they just gave him one! no id check, just an assurance that they deactivated the old keys. turns out they didn't as i had the old spare key and was able to open the room with it. that means that the lost key could have as well. let's end on a good note. the housekeeping was very sweet, and the room was pretty. oh yeah for the 3 day stay the water remained ice cold...probably won't return here unless it's super cheap.
