Das "alte" hotel ist wirklich sehr schön, der neubau dagegen eine katastrophe. dunkel, muffig, hässlich. hat mit dem schönen alten hauptgebäude nichts gemeinsam, außer den namen... darauf sollte bei der buchung hingewiesen werden!

Stayed two nights just for the fun of it. wonderful hotel, offering a lot of atmosphere, wonderfully clean, nice staff, food was excellent!

An extraordinary hotel; plenty of antiques; breathes the atmosphere of the past; superb views on the fjord and the mountains although the modern part of the hotel is less romantic because situated in a flat building. clean and well furnished room. excellent, spacious restaurant with great view on the fjord. nice staff; eager to help you. large and nice garden. this hotel respects its history and tradition.

As a former student of an old swedish university i felt imediately at home in the 19th century setting. so did all the old folks who i shared my stay with as well... apart from that the hotel is located in norway, there is nothing norwegian about it anymore, including the entire staff...
