Good hotel in good location
Our first time visit to milan. the airports a far out so the hotel near the statione centrale is very handy. the hotel is not obvious from the street but we found it easily enough usine the street number. the reception staff were helpful and knowledge of english excellent. the rooms were quite large and the decor reasonable but a little dated looking and clean. coffee and tea facilities provided but you need to ask for milk from the reception. for quite a big hotel there were no ironing facilities in the room. we requested an iron and i was informed there were only 2 for the whole hotel and would be put on the waiting list. we never saw it. the noise from the street is quite significant. we were on the 5th floor. this is not surprising being so central. milan itself has a great transport system and very cheap. the duomo is a bit more than 15 minutes walk - but there are trams and metro minutes away. we noticed a bakers and many restaurants and small shops nearby. breakfast is buffet style, plentiful an good. the restaurant serves decent food but the fruit salad not fresh but from a can. menu choice is limited. for exploring and orientating yourself in milan, or for day trip out of milan the hotel is a good location with all you need.
