Although being at walking distance from the centre, you will find the location calm and inviting. The 'Rijksmuseum', 'Stedelijk Museum' and 'Van Gogh Museum' are very easy to reach. Numerous restaurants and bars can be found at the 'Leidseplein', at a distance of a couple of hundred metres. The 'Dam' square, flower market and 'Muntplein' can be reached with a pleasant stroll alongside the canals but public transport in Amsterdam is excellent.
