Great place to stay

We stayed here over easter weekend when the hotel was full, but the staff seemed to take it all in their stride. the room was spotlessly clean, the reception helpful and breakfast was fine. my only niggle was that breakfast was served until 9.30 on weekdays (including bank holidays) and 10.30 at the weekend, which i think is quite rare these days. if you're having a leisurely break, it's a little annoying to have to hurry to get to breakfast in time. i'd certainly recommend this hotel.

Everything you'd expect.

Stayed here one night on business - hotel was perfectly adequate. was a bit concerned about noise as i had a room on the ground floor - room was quiet as it could have been! probably not the right place for a romantic weekend, but fine for me!

Amazing saving

Have stayed at this hotel before and found it useful to be so near to the playhouse theatre (literally across the road!)but festival prices were so sky high that i didn't believe them. however the price i paid was very good for the weekend and would use this site again and again. hotel is very good and staff extremely helpful - good sized room and quiet too!

Pleasant hotel

Stayed here for 3 days and found the hotel to be clean, well run, quiet and friendly. our room was at the back of the hotel and we didn't hear a peep, though it was during the week, chances are it might not be as quiet at the weekend. the staff were helpful and friendly. there is an ice machine, a crisp and confectionery machine and 2 drinks machines which are very handy, especially for bottled water, which is a bit pricey (£1 for a 550ml bottle) but you pay more in some shops. the hotel is across from the playhouse, cinema and several restaurants, our favourite being frankie & bennys. the only negative is that there is very little hanging space for clothes, could do with deeper shelves and some drawer space. overall, we liked this hotel and will definitely stay again.

Disappojnted

I stayed at this hotel with my mum to see a show in edinburgh. as good as the hotel was, there appears to have been a mix up with the booking, as we were given a double room rather than the twin room as stated in the booking confirmation. this meant that our stay was not as comfortable as it should have been. i did not complain at the time, as the stay was a present for my mum, and didn't want to cause a fuss. additionally, i wanted to be sure of my facts before challanging the booking, and wanted to check it first before complaining. i confirmed that what we were given was wrong. we did not get what we asked and paid for.

Holiday inn express edinburgh

#we found the hotel to be of a very high standard, the staff were polite and extremely helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. the room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. the continental breakfast was adequate and plenty of choice.
