I had multiple problems with the front desk. first they did not have my reservation in their system. then they tried to book only two nights, when i paid for four nights. then they expected us (three rooms) to leave on the second night. it was all resolved after showing them my printed receipt, which they kept. fortunately i had a second copy just in case. the overall experience was good. the lobby bar staff need an explanation on the difference from a white wine glass and a red wine glass. the food was much, much better than i expected and i was surprised. a delight. taxi service was nearly instantaneous, with many cars nearby. the rooms are clean and spacious. the hot water is really warm water, but it is noted on the shower and sink. i did not use the pool, but the area is clean. i think the hotel should take advantage of its history and perhaps offer a single double-sided page, with the story to guests as they check in.
