Excellent stay

Stayed for 2 nights. on the 1st night we went to the hotel restaurant for a meal. had a very good offer on where 2 people ate for £29.99! this was for 2 starters & 2 main courses plus 2 glasses of wine. we had a very nice meal very good portion sizes, would recommend if you are staying as excellent value for money. rooms nice and clean as there is a daily maid service. we were down to attend a concert at hampton, and the hotel ran a bus to the concert and back at a very good price, much cheaper than getting a taxi there and back, overall a nice stay, would go back again

Secc concert

We chose this hotel for its location to the secc . it has a linked walkway directly into the exhibition center . easy check in and and the receptionists were very efficient . this hotel i believe is soon to be having a refurbishment which i would say is long over due !! the hotel has recently put in new beds and bed linen so this was great but over all room and bathrooms would be described as tired . cleanliness was of good standard.

Recent stay at crowne plaza glasgow

Stayed here because it was next to the s.e.c.c. where my friend and i were attending an event. easy access to s.e.c.c. you do not even have to go outside as there is an internal walkway.

Nice hotel but poor bar service

Only issue i had was with bar staff who were slow and not the friendliest. we were staying over for a concert and were in the bar briefly before the concert then in again afterwards. however the bar staff would not serve us after 1am without the slip that you receive your room key in. we had our room key but not the slip you receive the key card in which means apparently you could have stolen someone else's room key to get served at the bar for an order which you were paying cash for. for some reason you must be unable to steal the slip the key card comes in......strange that.

Crowne plaza stay

Booking was easy. hotel was lovely, friendly staff. however, due to a family berevement we tried to a cancel a room but were unable to. bit disappointing.

Lovely stay

Everything about this hotel is excellent. the situation in the heart of glasgow city is perfect. the staff are friendly and helpful. the accommodation is luxurious. the food is delicious.

Great hotel

We have stayed in the moat house/crown plaza many times and each time we are very happy. the rooms are well furnished, clean and large, always very comfortable. the food is excellent, although the service at the bar can be quite slow even when it's not busy. it's ideal for concerts as its attached to the clyde auditorium and right next to the secc. all in all a great night.

Great hotel

My wife and i stayed at the moat house, or crowne plaza as it is now called from 2nd march to 4th march 2007. we couldn't fault the hotel. it was very clean and the room was an adequate size with nice decor. the staff were very friendly and helpful. there was a wide variety of food available ranging from bar snacks to a la carte menu, and the price of food was average. only negative was the price of alcohol, which was a little on the expensive side, however on the whole a great hotel and would recommend it.

Attending concert @ clyde auditorium

We booked this hotel because of it's location, right beside the concert venue, clyde auditorium. it's a very nice hotel, bar and restaurant area are lovely, although the service at reception could have been better - we waited in a long queue to check-in, with one person working behind the reception desk, but several others milling around doing very little!! food was good, and service in restaurant fine. room was lovely, and spacious by hotel standards. good value for money.
