Brief stay in carcassonne

My wife and i needed an hotel in carcassonne before catching a flight back home on the following day. the terminus was exactly right, near the centre, opposite the railway station, and canal. it looked a classic and it was. the reception was friendly and the room very comfortable. we enjoyed dinner overlooking the square, and had excellent service. enjoying an aperitif in the entrance lounge, we were fascinated by the comings and goings of guests and the life of the hotel. it was far better than i had expected from a city-centre hotel.

Un hotel con atractivo a 20minutos andando del castillo un poco lejos si solo vienes por este motivo ,lo cogimos por precio ,la recepcion esta compartida con mesas del restaurante ,solo decir la mala imagen los dias que hemos estado un matrimonio se sentaba en una de ellas para cenar con dos perros grandes y luego se ivan al sofa ,entienden y hablan un poco el español pero en general faltarian mas informacion en español en las actividades a realizar ect.. cuando fuimos roma tenian televison española 24 horas (viajamos muncho los españoles es hora de que percibamos ,que es asi)

Excellent value for money

Great value accommodation. excellent location near the train station, but still only a short walk to the historic city. rooms are huge and full of old charm, however, the staff at the hotel are less than helpful and don't have an idea of customer service. breakfast is quite ordinary but then there are so many good restaurants around to make up for that. thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Du soleil le terminus, carcassonne

We had a lovely stay in carcassonne in this great hotel. the room (superior room) overlooked the square and the canal du midi and was within easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars. there was also a pedestrian shopping street which was within 100 yards and the walk to the medieval cite was probably a good 20 minutes but not out of the question. we hired bikes at the hotel for no charge and cycled alongside the canal. the breakfast was ample and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. if you want to visit carcassonne without a car and are coming from the airport there is a shuttle which stops outside the station, only a stones throw from the hotel. if flying into carcassonne you wouln't need a car if you were staying at this hotel to explore the area as the station was in such easy reach for toulouse and castelnaudary.
