It was the 2nd stay at kempinski´s hotel near the great wall. the positive part: great architecture, super concept, phantastic view on great wall completely alone without thousands of tourists, wonderful spa, very nice rooms etc. the disappointing part: the quality dropped dramatically within the 18 months from last time that is not acceptable for the price of a 5star hotel ans it is pitty - poor service at restaurant, reception etc. - friendly but unprofessional, - many drinks and food on menu were out - communication difficult (relative poor english - last time better) - some injuries on buildings - poor care on gardens (a lot of "unkraut") - only the spa was simlar very good as last time in summary- still a phantastic hotel but on a negative way - that is really pitty. hopefully, it will "recover" and will reach the level before
