The location of this hotel is perfect, it is whitin walking distance to the white house and the museums. it is also a few blocks away from a very hip area - going on the opposite direction of the white house area - with many great restaurants, bars and a whole foods store. the front desk staff was very helpful, i asked for a late check-out and they were very accommodating. a level of service that i did not find in the more upscale hotels during our usa trip. we had two rooms and both were spacious, clean, bed and pillows were comfortable, temperature control had a fast response - a problem i encountered on all the other hotels we stayed. my kids loved the afternoon cookies! when i booked this hotel i was a little anxious, it was the last hotel i booked for our three week trip to the east coast, and price was a big factor on my decision as i had spent a lot on the other hotels, but i was very pleasantly surprised. if we ever go back to dc, i won't look anywhere else, will stay here again.
