Great stay at the apex city

Had a great stay at this hotel, the staff and hotel were superb with special mention to the breakfast staff who could not have been more helpful, would definitely use this hotel again.

A friendly stay

Very comfortable, clean hotel in great location. from the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and very helpful . room was clean and very comfortable. christmas party season so the main restaurant and bar were off limits to paying guests however they did provide facilities elsewhere in the hotel but we did not use as dined out. room was very quiet overnight. price is good for edinburgh city centre hotel but had to pay extra for parking. breakfast was good with the exception of hard boiled poached egg, a pet hate! would stay again.

Edinburgh visit

A great hotel if you are visiting edinburgh at festival time. great location and only 10 minutes walk to princess street, less to the royal mile and the castle. great location for seeing the old part of edinburgh . lots of night life within short walk of hotel. rooms large and well furnished our room had a great shower. nice touch was the chocolates on afrival. will be back next year.

This is a great hotel

A great hotel in a great location with a view of the castle. we loved it. the staff were all friendly and very helpful. breakfast was very good. we would definitely stay there again.

Perfect place to stay for edinburgh festival

We stayed in the city apex, during the fringe festival and the location is a1 walk outside and you are in the middle of all the fun. saying this the hotel is not noisy inside. we also attended the military tattoo and once again the location is superb for geetting to and from the castle. there are lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants within a stones throw of the hotel. all in all a fabulous plce to saty in edinburgh.

Winter break

Narrow corridors but biggish rooms and generous bathrooms. well-used city centre hotel, now a little scruffy in the finish. first impressions very good, closer inspection reveals cost-cutting. beds excellent although rooms adjacent to street noisy -the grassmarket is a buzzy all-night place. think rome! very good breakfast with good service although portions notably smaller than last year. parking closeby expensive or a very long walk. good for quirky shopping but if its princes st and george st you want, stay closer.

Weekend in edinburgh

Arrived on friday 11th december for a weekend in edinburgh. hotel location brilliant situated in grassmarket. swift check in by very helpful staff. beautiful christmas decoration in hotel. scottish breakfast very good. would definitely recommend staying at this hotel or the apex international (sister hotel located a short walk away).

A very pleasent stay

Went to edinburgh for a long weekend and very much enjoyed my stay at the apex city. all staff were very helpful and friendly. the rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel was in a great location, only 5 minutes walk to the royal mile. plenty of bars and restaurants within close proximity. breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. would definitely stay there again.

Big thumbs up! great hotel....

Brilliant hotel, great location and great price... loads of pubs (especially irish ones) and places to eat around this hotel also! definetly would recommend this hotel! big thumbs up!!

Fantastic hotel

We had a great stay in this hotel for a family wedding. the rooms were immaculate and well presented and all our needs were catered for. would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

Review apex city edinburgh

Very pleasant stay. the hotel was located approx 5-10 mins walk from the royal mile. although the apex city did not have many parking spaces, we were able to park at the apex international 1 min down the street - the parking was free. the room was of a moderate size, but the bathroom was a bit bigger than standard as there was a separate walk in shower in addition to the bath. the breakfast, which was delicious, was in the restaurant, and as we managed to get a table at the front, we had a lovely view of the castle.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful city

This was my last choice of hotel ,i couldnt get any of the other hotels i wanted for the weekend and i have to say i was more than pleasantly surprised! absolutely beautiful hotel in an ideal, central location, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable, room service was tasty, couldnt ask for a better weekend break.

Welcome break

We were really impressed with the hotel from the moment we arrived. the staff were really helpful. i loved the breakfast choice and would have loved to try a bit of everything. the hotel itself is very modern and we were very impressed with the room and the walk in shower. i can't fault it in any way. the only thing is i wished we had taken up the offer of an evening meal.

Apex city edinburgh

Hotel was bright and airy. reception staff efficient and friendly. room clean. in room facillities could be better stocked ony 1 of some items such as coffee etc even though it was a double room. breakfast also dissappointing when served in room - no fresh juice or cereal served and tea cold.
