Pros: an affordable hotel in a very good location for a tourist. reception open all hours. cons: not that serviceminded staff. no free wi-fi. the shower had no shampoo and it smelled funny in a lot of the rooms.

Incredible that there still are hotels with no shampoo in the bathroom. should of course be included. they didn't even have free wifi which every simple restaurant in the surrounding had. the rooms were old, unfresh and boring. where did this hotel get its third star from?

I was expecting 'basic' accommodation which was basically what the room was. but i was appalled at the state of the bathroom especially the shower. fortunately for one night i could manage without taking a shower.

This is a very basic and plain place to stay. my room was in a building across the road, which is not ideal (reduced security). probably shouldn't count as a 3-star hotel. it is cheap and only minutes away from paddington, however, and the basic room does have everything you need. it could do with double glazing as there was quite a bit of noise outside throughout the night. breakfast is not good.

El hotel tiene deficiencias, no obstante lo recomendaría ya que para dormir y ducharse, que es lo principal de un viaje, es cómodo y cumple su función. no obstante me gustaría remarcar que los recepcionistas no saben idiomas ninguno, no tiene ascensor por lo que tienes que subirte las maletas al segundo o tercer piso solito y bajártelas, está un poco antiguo aunque bien conservado. en nuestra habitación el extractor del water hacía un ruido tremendo al encender la luz del baño, reservamos una habitación con cama doble y nos dieron una con dos camas individuales, el desayuno es bufet de zumo de naranja, café, cereales, yogures, tostadas y nada más. las toallas y sábanas se cambian cada dos días. la tele es plana y está bien aunque no tiene ni un solo canal español. desde luego nada que ver las estrellas de un hotel de españa con las de uno inglés, en españa estaríamos hablando de una o como mucho dos estrellas. aunque si hay algún indeciso insisto, para dormir y asearse el hotel está bien y cumple bien, a un precio competitivo. además la zona es buena para acceder a cualquier lugar de la ciudad.

The rooms were too small, we couldn't get around each other, and there was not room for the suitcases one of our rooms had a bad doublebed, and the bathroom-taps were not working probably, and the the door to the shower was broken. our two rooms were very cold. there were no hooks for the towels. there was no shampoo, and the reception said, the hotel did not provide that - i have never heard of a 3-star -hotel without shampoo! the pillowcase was not clean, and was not changed though.

Nettes und kleines hotel. für ein paar tage ist das hotel völlig ausreichend. es ist zwar sehr wenig platz, aber zum schlafen und für das preisleistungsverhältnis ist es in ordnung. frühstück ist klein gehalten (toast, wurst, käse, div. marmelade und kellogs) zimmer werden jeden tag gesäubert. zur oxford street benötigt man nur ca. 10/15 min zu fuß.

Nosotros fuimos dos dias, y lo elegimos por la situación y por el precio, y la verdad que eso es lo mejor que tiene, a nosotros la habitación q nos tocó nos provocaba risas y llantos a partes iguales, era muy pequeña y el baño era prefabricado, las camas eran individuales y una estaba detras de la otra...en fin... si no se busca lujo es recomendable porque tienes estación de metro y tren al lado, y los autobuses del aeropuerto te dejan relativamente cerca, desde ahi es facil moverte por toda la ciudad, la gente de la recepción eran muy amables.

The hotel is close to two tube stations ( lancaster gate and paddington ). my room was not in the main building.it was at the 4th floor and there was no lift; nice only if you are on diet. the room was nice and clean but the bathroom very small like a toilet on an airplane. the breakfast ( in the basement so 5 floors up and down)was ok .

This hotel offers good beds, pretty good showers and a good basic breakfast buffet. for the uk i've had far worse coffee, but the juice is sometimes a bit too far diluted to my taste. rooms are a bit noisy, you can hear your upstairs neighbour walking around his room, but mine were wearing hiking boots, so that may be stressing things a bit too far. situated close to paddington station it's a good place for your basic overnight stay when you want to stroll around the city all day long. all in all: thumbs up.

El hotel me ha parecido regular, caro para las habitaciones de los años de cuentame y ese olor a moqueta apulgara y de limpieza...el baño etaba bien, lo unico que no te ponen nada para poder ducharte, solo pastillitas de jabon. lo bueno de la havitacion era la calefaccion y la tv, aunque sin mando. el desayuno continental bien,tostadas de pan bimbo y mantequilla, tambien habia leche, cereales y zumo de naranja malisimo. elegi este hotel porque no habia otro mas barato.

Very small room with a smell of an awful cheap perfume from the former resident i believe, and it didn`t go during my forur days stay. the drain in the shower was not working well. next time i try and find another hotel.

We had a very nice time in this hotel. it is a simple hotel, but the beds were nice. the room was clean and the shower was excellent. the bathroom is small but for us it was good enough. the location is good, nearby hyde park, notting hill and the paddington staion.

Arrivée à l'alexandra hotel, nous avons été informé, malgré mon papier de réservation, que hotel click s'est trompé dans la réservation. nous avons été obligé malgré notre protestation et le fait qu'il restait des chambres disoponibles dans l'hotel alexandra d'aller dans un autre hotel le seymour, plus vieux et dans lequel la salle de bains était minuscule et la chambre bruyante.

Ottima posizione per visitare londra, facilmente raggiungibile da heathrow airport. la colazione è stata uguale per tutto il soggiorno. il personale dell'albergo decisamente gentile e disponibile. nel box doccia il mixer funzionava con difficoltà per ottenere la temperatura voluta.

We stayed for five nights. four persons. one room was ok, but the another was bad because it was not possible to open the window, it was 35 outside and sun, so it was hard to sleep. breakfast was in the price, and two mornings there was juice or caffe, whwn we asked , they said id was empty. the curtains in booth rooms was wery dirty, and they did not change bed clothes during our stay.

Das hotel ist absolut in ordnung.man muß das preis-leistungverhältnis berücksichtigen.im hotel unglaublich ruhig der straßenlärm in einer großstadt wie london ist normal.zimmer klein aber sauber. das duschzimmer ist für einen kurzurlaub ausreichen.frühstück ist einfach aber ich hatte aufgrund der der bereits abgegebenen bewertungen weniger erwartet.

Albergo situato in buona posizione (bayswater) con stazione metro di paddington a 5 minuti. struttura un pò datata,ma in sufficienti condizioni. camera con due letti singoli con misure ridotte ai minimi termini.bagno microscopico. colazione con votazione assolutamente insufficiente. pulizia sufficiente.

Un hotel a cinque mituti dalla metropolitana in zona centralissima, accogliente e con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. camere pulite, raggiungibili con l'ascensore, cambio di asciugamani quotidiano, colazione internazionale e di buona qualità. possibilità di lasciare i bagagli il giorno della partenza nella hall per sfruttare anche l'ultimo giorno di soggiorno. un albergo senza dubbio da consigliare

Great location. hotel room and shower/toilet, decent size. excellecent housekeeping. breakfast was semi buffet-style, more then we had expected. padddington tube station just 2 minute walk away which was great, especailly after a day walking about the city or coming back to the hotel with a few shopping bags !!! and hyde park just 7/10 mins away.

The alexandra makes a great base, for a budget hotel. the room was clean, comfortable and warm (we were visiting in december) and the location quiet. it's a bit tricky getting up to the fourth floor with luggage - the stairs are narrow and the lift is small and stops at the third floor, but this is a minor complaint considering the low cost of the room. the breakfast is a bit basic (no whole-grain breads or cereal, or fruit) but again, when you are paying such a low amount for the room, who really minds.

The only thing going for this hotel is it's location, rooms are small and bathrooms are even smaller (can only just turn around in the shower and you can almost lean your head on the door when sitting on the toilet), an ideal place for singles but would not recommend it for couples or families. very narrow step stairs in part of hotel with no lift and also no fire escapes..... we would not recommend this hotel to any of our friends...

Diciamo che la bellezza della città in fondo rende tutto il resto relativo: l'albergo in fondo è solo un "mezzo", almeno per me. detto questo, son andato lì con la mia ragazza e non mi posso lamentare. l'aspetto esterno dell'albergo è carino e invitante, le camere invece lasciano un pò a desiderare, strette e anguste. però l'ambiente è tranquillo, perfetto per una coppia o una famiglia, la posizione è ideale e il prezzo contenuto (a londra difficile trovare di meglio).

Ottima posizione con metro a pochi metri, stanze non grandissime ma comode, bagno in camera piccolo ma pulito. in generale ottimo compromesso qualita' / prezzo. ci tornerei senza dubbio.
