Once you enter the hotel it is as lovely as the reviews would lead you to expect. the street outside is not much to look at and the buildings nearby are covered with grafitti which diminishes their appeal. once inside the door though, you are transported into another world. the stairs to the hotel could be difficult for the elderly but they are a way of distancing it from the street below into a peaceful terrace. the staff were extremely helpful in recommending restaurants that were excellent and hidden away. we visited with our college age daughters and were all enchanted by the place.
