The hotel is excellently situated at the corniche overlooking the central harbour out to what was the pharos. the spacious roof terrace connected to the restaurant is open for use all day, high above the intense traffic noise. much space everywhere in the historic building, except on the balconies. the rooms have high ceilings, modernized baths, good beds. breakfast varied and good (though the coffee is for local tastes and the bread only white). people in service positions generally very kind and helpful. you get the location and charm of the more famous cecil without its prices.
