Nice hotel - reasonably spacious and clean rooms. some noise from the street at night (lorries). the reception staff are friendly. no mini bar in the rooms. a very active concierge desk - but watch out! i asked for a cheap taxi to heathrow (i was leaving quite early in the morning). i was told that would cost me 50 pounds. to my dismay, the taxi was not a minicab, as i expected, rather a black cab. in the end, the taxi driver agreed to share the difference between the meter (76 pounds) and what i was expecting to pay. but i still wonder why the concierge did not book me a flat rate taxi or minicab.
