We attended a conference at shingle creek. the hotelclick price was cheaper than the conference price and included parking. others that paid the higher conference rate also paid a discounted parking rate. we enjoyed not having to leave the property as the café osceola had a great buffet for all meals each day. we took the cold bar which included hot soup for lunch each day. our conference took up morning and night for the 3 days we were there, so that we did not have much free time. if you have free time a car is definitely needed as that resort is just off international drive with only a small plaza across the street. but the resort has many eateries and shops that it is comfortable to never leave.
