My husband and i were having a first time visit to rome. we booked the hotel for three nights, giving us two full days to see the sights. we knew we wouldn't be spending much time at a hotel so just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep. this place was just the thing and we were also able to have some breakfast before we left for the day. the restaurant beside the hotel was excellent for dinner in the evening.

Für einen städtetripp ist es uns wichtig, dass die lage passt und der preis in ordnung ist. es gibt einen shuttle-bus vom flughafen in die stadt. dei station lag etwas abgelegen, wodurch wir ca. 20 minuten mit gebäck laufen mussten. ist zwar für uns kein thema gewesen, aber für manche könnte es ein weiter weg sein. vor allem, wenn man am koffer keine rollen hat. aber der lift macht es auch für ältere angenehm. zum petersplatz waren es ca. 10 minuten (zu fuß) und ebenso zu "musei vaticano". aber nicht im eiltempo! an der rezeption wurden wir freundlich empfangen und es war stets hilfe gegeben wenn man etwas wissen wollte. der kleine nachteil war, dass fast ausschließlich italienisch gesprochen wurde. da kamen wir mit englisch auch nicht weit. aber mit händen, füßen und stadtplänen deuteten wir unsere fragen. das zimmer selbst fanden wir voll in ordnung, sie sind mit klimaanlage ausgestattet und es war alles da. die betten für unseren geschmack zu weich (zu alt?). das frühstück war - trotz anführung "continental" - sehr dürftig. automatenkaffee (persönlich find ich das ganz schlecht in italien) entweder nur schinken oder mit salami viele crousants und dünnes toastbrot. der toaster war auch seine eigene wissenschaft. da merkt man, dass italiener nicht viel bedacht auf´s frühstück haben. rom - super stadt - ist nicht nur kulturell zu empfehlen. essen: eine wucht und der kaffee. aber vorsichtig sein mit kaffee: in einem restaurant zahlt man schon gerne mal 4 euro für eine cappucchino, geht man aber in eine "bar" zahlt man dort schon nur mehr 1,5 euro.

The hotel has only 12 rooms. to the first room was not window because it was a wall build behind it. the walls are so thin you hear everything. the breakfast was awful.nothing to eat apart yogurt and some tost bread. no coffee no tea. all the safe boxes were not working. no batteries, no spare parts etc. the receptionists were rude and not speaking a word of english. it was a very bad experience.

Nice, clean rooms (thanks to milton, also night clerk), only a bit worn, at a good price, especially considering roma hotels's average price. only problems: night traffic noise (it's on a heavily used avenue) and the shower's floor (it's an unexpected plastic grill, particularly "spiky"; it will punish your feet soles; besides, it doesn't look hygienic at all) solutions: earplugs (i had brought mine, as i always do, just in case) and some sort of light beach sandals (mmm... i never would have thought i would need them) oh, and breakfast... enough if you, as me, just take some milk and coffee, croissant and butter. in all, very good, with metro and vatican nearby, and milton's prompt helpfulness as an extra)

Su un soggiorno di due notti, la seconda notte non siamo riusciti a dormire perche' un gruppo di calabresi e' arrivato alle ore 3,30 con grande rumore svegliandoci e da allora hanno continuato fino alle 6 di mattina quando si sono alzati pensando di essere a casa loro parlando forte e facendo baccano. purtroppo non essendoci una reception la notte non abbiamo potuto fare altro che stare svegli. un incubo.
