The best staff in any hotel i have stayed in

Potentially could have been the worst holiday ever, but the staff at the ossotel are a credit and worthy of every plaudit they receive. first i will start with the hotel...great location, easy to get to legian for the shopping fans and seminyak if you want to class it up a little. beach access from the back of the hotel is a short walk from behind the pool(great sign placement near the ladder...someone was actually trying to climb the ladder to get out to the path). the rooms are fantastic, the beds are more western than asian as they are the most comfortable bed i have slept in, in many trips through asia. the pool was a little warm as it does get full sun during daylight hours...so go for a pre breakfast swim. very clean, modern, and well kept by your hospitality staff. now to the shining light. i lost my mobile phone in the back of a taxi on my second day of my 1 week stay(which occurred in kuta). i went back to the hotel and they helped me by calling the taxi company and during the day continued to call on my behalf. they also checked the security footage to see if they could find the taxi i got into...needless to say, it was not recovered. the next day they drove myself and my wife to the kuta police station to log a report. they went above and beyond what normal staff would do and to have this much care about your customers when the loss was not in the hotel amazed me.....(i know the indonesians to be a friendly race) but your staff are a credit to your hotel. we normally like to try out a different hotel in our trips to bali, but we think we have found a keeper. look forward to staying there next trip
