We have stayed at the mercure bankside four times and been pleased every time. the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. the rooms are comfortable and have an electric kettle for tea or instant coffee as well as a nespresso coffee machine. room service leaves yummy flapjacks daily. the breakfast is one of the best i've had at any hotel; there is a buffet with an ample selection of hot and cold dishes, and one can order kippers, smoked haddock, eggs benedict, latte and other items at no extra cost. location is perfect for walks along the thames and for the tate modern.
