I booked in to attend a family funeral the next day. i checked in at about 10.30 pm and the bar and everything else was closed. i could not get anything to eat or drink and the closing manager displayed no interest in even being able to provide a drink at the closing guest bar. i was then told i had to pay £5 to park my car. this was not on the booking form so was not expected. getting through the car park barrier was hindered by what seemed to be relatives collecting staff, and then the key card did not work! most annoying. then i was not told which block i was to be in so wondered around in the dark looking for the entrance to my block. when i finally got in to my room, which was a twin room, it was quite nice, clean, big and warm - though the shower dripped noisily all night. i was not informed of any wi fi and could not be bothered to go all the way back to reception to ask about this.
