I used to stay here a great deal 10 years ago but had not been back since, as it is normally a bit out of my price range. it has lost nothing of its charm and character. it is conveniently located for the city centre. the staff are courteous and helpful. my room was a bit on the small side but clean, comfortable and perfectly ok for a short business trip.

We stay in birmingham quite regular as my daughter is studying at birmingham university. we absolutely adore this hotel, it is a few minutes from the train station and right in the heart of the city. service/booking process with hotelsclick is excellent, will definately through them again. the hotel is superb, room beautiful and very scrumptious breakfast included in the price. could not fault anything, a hotel you must stay in if you fancy a short break in birmingham

We stayed at the hotel as a special surprise birthday treat for my husband. we had a marvellous time. all the staff were friendly without being intrusive, helpful and efficient. all our needs were met - including booking taxis, morning 'get-up' calls, etc. we informed the restaurant staff that we were booked for a show and they ensured that we were served quickly and efficiently. i can't praise it enough.

A good hotel in a great location, a very warm welcome from reception om arrival which was nice. lady in bar looked like she was having a bad day and was very slow. rooms were nice and clean, a bit smaller then i thought but for 1 night was not a issue.

A bit disappointed by the rather shabby state of some areas, carpets lifting etc. though generally clean, good food and extremely friendly and helpful staff

Really enjoyed my stay here, can't beat it's position; the staff were very helpful (i was upgraded to a superior room because of a broken flush in the bathroom). thw hotel was very comfortable with a great breakfast,
