A bit disconcerting to find that the 'car park' was the waste land across the road from the hotel. arrived at the hotel and they had no record of our booking. i showed them an email booking confirmation which they then checked and checked and checked. finally we were given a room, probably not the one that we'd originally 'booked' i suspect. the bathroom floor was scuffed, the basin lacked a certain sheen and the grout between the tiles in the bath/shower was decidedly un-scrubbed. arriving for breakfast the next morning we were told our booking didn't include breakfast even though it did. they rang through to reception who clarified matters. we had the same encounter the next day too. all in all, not the entirely relaxing stay we were hoping for and i probably wouldn't book again.
