Erratic internet connection!

Stayed -- 20th to 28th august 2008 my 15-year old son and i just returned from florence, having stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. location is great -- only 10 minutes walk from the santa maria novella train station. staff were courteous, place was clean. we bought our laptop as my son wanted to do some gcse course work during our stay, so we brought internet connection from the hotel -- 15 euros for the duration of one's stay. the wireless connection kept going off, but if the hotel staff went to re-boot, the connection sometimes comes back on. we even turned off firewall and anti-virus etc in case they were causing conflict but the problem persisted through our stay. the hotel staff said they would get the it engineer to call to fix the problem, but no one came before we left! we had a twin room but had assumed that the standard size of a single bed was 3' rather than 2.5', so i kept falling off the bed and wasn't getting any sleep. the hotel kindly moved us to another room so that i could have a double bed -- bliss! obviously i had to pay the supplement but it was worth it. following recommendations of previous posts, we went to try za za at mercato centrale but were disappointed. the taste of the food was fine but they are really cold. the price was rather steep compared with similar trattoria tool. we found a few other good eating places, the best was trattoria antellesi (via faenza 9) near cappelle medicee. also, trattoria garibardi which is also in the piazza del mercato centrale, like za za, was really great. it was a great holiday, florence is such a beautiful city!
