One of the worse experiences ever

I couldn't believe for the price we paid we got absolute terrible experience ever! room service would cost 45 minutes to 1 hour on average, and that's based on calling them back every 15-20 minutes. when we arrived at the hotel we were told that the pool would close at 5pm due to a private event booking and the next day it would close at 11pm. so we moved our original pool party on the first night to the second night. when we came all the way back from key west the next day to get ready for our party, the hotel told us the pool was completely closed due to another private event. why do you think we would pay over $1000 for 2 nights of stay without the access to the pool? we thought maybe we could go check out the pool at night to see whether it's worth it getting up early in the morning to have a dip. when we arrived at 19th floor where the pool is, two securities told us we need to leave there because we were not the guests to the private event! we even explained that we didn't want to intrude and that we just wanted to check out the pool. again, we were rejected. no appologies throughtout the whole time. he even followed us to make sure we got into the elevator to leave. so we went back to the front desk to complain, and the receptionist offered us free access to the facilities as a make-up gift (all facilities were closed at the time of the offer). the whole experience at jw marriott marquis was more than ridiculous. definitely not visiting again, not even for free.
